Special Note: Flat-Faced Breeds
Brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Persian cats, etc.) are at higher risk during travel due to their respiratory anatomy. Many airlines restrict or ban these breeds from cargo holds.
- • Keep them in climate-controlled cabin when possible
- • Monitor closely for signs of respiratory distress
- • Take extra precautions in hot weather
